It is very simple to merge two large scans captured by the Einscan HX or any other Einscan 3D scanner. The ExScan scanning software will help merge two large scans which can be done in two projects based on 3 different alignment methods, presented to you during the post processing step. The first method is feature alignment which aligns two or more projects together based on the unique shape and features present from the object or scan data. The second method is marker alignment, which aligns two or more projects together based on the markers you place on the object and that are captured in the scan data. The third method is manual 3-point alignment which allows you to select 3 points between two projects in X,Y,Z space and the software will align the data together based on similarities in the shape and features around those selected points. These three alignment are easy to use and helps merge large
The amount of data you can capture in a single scan depends on the user's computer hardware - specifically the size of your graphics card's video memory, the CPUs processing power, and the amount of RAM it has to store and process large data sets. Please send us a message if you have any concerns about your computer and we can discuss the best solution for you.
